My Monthly Online Income Report May 2012

I’m going to start giving more detailed monthly income reports of where exactly my online income is coming from. This is both for my readers, to help you see where I make my money online, and also for myself, so I can see the progress I am making month to month in different areas.

I’ve always loved to read other people’s online income reports, and my favorite one to read is Pat Flynn’s income reports from SmartPassiveIncome.com. I’m not where near how much income he brings in per month. But everyone has to start somewhere. There was a time in the past when he was only making what I am making now. His blog and income reports have been a great inspiration to me and thousands of other people who are trying to make money online from home. His May income report is out yet, but you can read his April income report here. I love how transparent he is about where his online income comes from. I hope to do the same type of thing here on Five Green Lizards with my own income reports. Please be advised that some of the links listed in the income sources may be affiliate links and I may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them. Thank you in advance for this.

May 2012 Online Income

The following amounts are the actual income that was PAID to me in the month of May. These earnings may have been from sales that occured 60-90 days prior to them being paid out to me in May. Each affiliate and income source pays out on a different schedule. I am just reporting the income I actually received as payment this month.

January 2012 $ 1,421.66
February 2012 $ 4,508.30
March 2012 $ 2,116.50
April 2012 $ 3,213.97
May 2012 $2,606.74
Total 2012: $ 13,867.21

If you are so inclined to do so, please share your online earnings below in the comments section. Or simply tell us if you earnings have increased, or what you are doing to increase your online earnings?

  1. I am curious about your Squidoo income? What’s the main source of them (because Squidoo allows us to make money in various forms including adsense, amazon…)

    • Hi Robert – Thanks for stopping by!
Here’s how my Squidoo income is broken down. My pie chart on my dashboard (My Earning – Last 3 months) says:
      eBay 46%
      Ad Pool 36%
      Text Link Ads 10%
      Amazon 8%
(I don’t use many Squidoo Amazon Modules. I prefer to use my own Amazon Associate links, which are reporting on my earnings report as my Amazon Associates income, however 95% of that revenue comes from links on my Squidoo lenses.)

  2. I am absolutely addicted to Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income Blog, but have always thought I could never reach that level of success. After coming across your website I have renewed sense of “I can do this!!!”. Thanks for being this stay at home mom’s new inspiration!

    • I love Pat’s blog too, and he’s making so much that it can be almost “unrealistic” for the rest of us. But his blog really has been an encouragement to me! He was once in our shoes too!

    • I think I can too. My small business marketing income fluctuates a lot, so it will really depend on that. I am paid a flat amount on new customers and a % of the one time customers, so I really don’t know until I’m paid by them.
