I think my 13 year old niece is a better entrepreneur than I am. Why? Because she’s only 13 and she’s already written a book and published it to Amazon. She loves to read science fiction teen fantasy books, so she decided she would share her passion by writing her own book. She just decided to do it. And then she did it. She published it to Amazon Kindle over Christmas (with her mom’s help, of course).
So why do I think she’s a better entrepreneur than I am. Because she just decided to do it, and then did it. She didn’t let her fears stop her. She didn’t let her doubts stop her. She didn’t say…”Well, I don’t know how to get a cover design” or “I don’t know how to get the formatting right on Kindle, so I give up”. No, she just did it. And she bugged and bugged her mom until it got done. That type of persistence will serve her well in life.
She’s only 13. I hope that she continues to write and publish books every year. Can you image if, by the time she graduates high school, she already has 5-10 books up for sale on Amazon. What if she has 20?
I look back on my journey to make money online, and I wish I would have started sooner. I’m so happy that my niece has written a book. Because how long have I said to my readers (going way back to Squidoo, if you followed me there), that I was going to write a book. And I still haven’t written a book. But my 13 year old niece has. And I hope she continues to do so. She took something that she loves (reading), and turned it into something that can give her passive income.
If you would like to help out a young budding entrepreneur, will you please buy her book? I know that you probably won’t read it. That’s OK. I just want to give her encouragement that all the time and effort she put into her book is worth it. It’s $4.99. If you have ever felt like you have gotten value and knowledge from my posting here on my website or from my writings on Squidoo, I’m asking a favor. Please buy my niece’s book, just to help encourage her to continue doing stuff like this, and to help give it a boost in the Amazon rankings for her subject matter.
The book is called The Third Angel (Prophecy of the Third Angel), by Zana B. Sparrows (her pen name).
Thanks in advance for encouraging a young entrepreneur!
